Casey U3A is a voluntary organisation that aims to bring seniors together (both retirees and part-time retirees), regardless of creed, culture or religion. A common interest in a particular activity is the focus, but the social interaction generated is of equal or sometimes of even greater importance, especially during these challenging COVID times.

Casey U3A is running its first-ever ‘Summer School for Seniors’ during December and January.
They have 16 different classes on offer, from exercise type classes like Zumba Gold, Walking Football, Arthritis exercises, Line Dancing, TaiChi, Lawn Bowls , 2 walking groups to Drawing classes, Textiles, Book Chats, Karaoke, Meditation and even a class to share cultural beginnings in different countries.
Some classes will be online via Zoom and others will be in outdoor park areas or a Hall.
Classes start Dec1st and run for 7 sessions till 29th Jan. (2 weeks break over Xmas and the New Year)

The City of Casey is supporting this initiative as it values strengthening community ties across our senior groups and although we are coming out of COVID restrictions, life will not return to normal for a while yet. Our classes support the health of seniors and will be conducted online via Zoom but also in a variety of outdoor venues as well.

The good news is that all activities will be free!
