Jack Horner
Jack says he is too old to mention age but he certainly recalls the great swing musicians of the 40’s and onwards. He was a teacher, an army officer and a senior manager. He always loved jazz, learnt to play some clarinet and has been “doing radio” for more than 15 years.
The swing show is intended to be lively, irresistible and interesting. You’ll hear music from the 1940’s to the present day, featuring the big bands, the talented instrumentalists, great singers and fine vocal groups. The music style ranges from outright jazz, through boogie-woogie, swing, a touch of blues and occasional interviews with local swing musicians. As long as it swings, you are likely to hear it!
