Wednesday 15 July, 7:30pm.  Paris based Jody Sternberg and David Lewis are back in Australia with another eclectic menu of songs, exploring the rich and enduring dialogue between French chanson and ‘le jazz’.
Together with pianist Mark Fitzgibbon on piano, they offer their original takes on the songs of such iconic figures as Michel Legrand, Charles Trenet and Serge Gainsbourg, with Lewis’ melodic, colourful trumpet and flugelhorn interweaving with Sternberg’s warm voice.
Originally from Sydney, Jody Sternberg is a singer and multi instrumentalist whose music blends vocal jazz with touches of folk, blues and bossa nova.
Australian born trumpeter, pianist and composer David Lewis is co-founder of the internationally renowned group Paris Combo, with which he recorded nine albums and performed worldwide over a 25 year period.
